Upper Hutt Rifle Club
The Upper Hutt Rifle Club is dedicated to gaining as much fun as possible from the sport of full-bore shooting. Target shooting is one of the very few sports offering activity for every member of the family – men and women, boys and girls of all ages.
The Upper Hutt Rifle Club shoots every Saturday afternoon at 1pm from September through to the end of May. Visitors are very welcome to attend an afternoon shoot and try their hand. The first afternoon’s shooting is free except for a small charge for the ammunition used. The Club has several club rifles, and a selection of equipment which is available free of charge. Each newcomer is allocated an experienced shooter who acts as their mentor to teach them the basics of shooting, rifle safety and range protocol.
A firearms license is not necessary at this stage. If you’re keen to have go, come down to the club on a Saturday afternoon from 1pm, located on Freyburg Road in Trentham.
